Our New Guest, Lucky!

Once we returned from Thanksgiving Break, we found a new friend in our room, The Elf on the Shelf.  We quickly read the book and as a class, we voted on his name.  The majority vote was for the name: Lucky! So, I would like you to meet our new friend from the North Pole, Lucky!  :)  Here are some pictures of his shenanigans.  He started off so sweet, but has gradually shown a little of a sneaky side.  We had a bit of a scare earlier this week.  One of our class friends accidentally touched Lucky on Friday and he didn't move over the weekend. On Monday, he was still in the same spot. :(  But, lots of friends wrote letters explaining that it was an accident and for Santa to please give Lucky back his magic so he could go back to the North Pole each night to tell Santa how well behaved or lack thereof each child has been.  When we returned from lunch, Lucky had moved!!! Yay for good persuading letters from the kids! :)  I am missing the picture of the day he didn't move.  I will post it with his pictures of next week!
Cute little Lucky "on the shelf."- Day 1

Oh Lucky!  He got into some candy and it looks like he brought some candy to kids from "S" (Santa perhaps??) - Day 2

Lucky is so cute making a "snow angel."  He also knocked our candy box off the shelf so he could make his little snow angel.  (I'm starting to see a naughty side of him) -Day 3
Day 4- I can't find this picture...but Lucky was caught hanging from the clips that hold our work from the ceiling.  He's so funny!
Day 5 is when Lucky refused to move.  (I'll post this soon)

When we returned from lunch, Lucky MOVED!  He shed his antlers and red nose and was found above the Smart Board.  He also took ALL of the letters that the kids wrote him.  I wonder where  he put them...from where I can see, he doesn't have pockets. -Day 6

Lucky apparently enjoyed some milk and cookies.  He even has a little "milk-stache."  Later that day, there was a basket of cookies that were delivered from "someone" in the office.  We can use our (drawing conclusions) skill that Lucky left them for us to enjoy too! -Day 7

Some days, we find these little letters on our desks.  Lucky wrote notes to some of the kids.  He also left some Elf dust on the desks too.

We caught Lucky fishing in the classroom.  He is so silly.  I wonder where he gets these little ideas from??? -Day 8

When we walked in this morning, we found this little paper airplane with the words "Hee hee hee" written on them....and then...

we found this.....

and this...

and this...

And we found Lucky on the cabinet with another note.  He looks like he is up to NO good...

....more????

and look what that little elf did in the bathroom. He wrote on the mirror.  I had to promise Mr. Dirton that I did NOT write on the mirror.  Lucky is trying to get me into some trouble. -Day 9

We found Lucky hanging out on top of the tree today.  He also had that sneaky note too...I wonder what that means??

Hmm??

Now I know why he had the note :( Mrs. Padgett and Mrs. Pennington brought a basket that had been delivered to the office with our names on little presents.  I was really excited. I watched the two of them open their gifts, and they were so cute.  Then I opened mine up....(I was really excited)...then I saw what I got... COAL?? REALLY?? The kids reassured me that I had not been bad, that maybe he was mad because I got him in trouble for writing on the bathroom mirror.  Oh well.  I will try to work harder on getting on that nice list.  Here is me and my "coal." Notice the sad face :( Thanks Lucky!
-Day 10

I cannot wait to see what Lucky has in store for us next week.  It will be our last week with him.  He won't be with us after Friday, because we go on Christmas Break... At least our room will be a little more sane when he leaves. :)
