So, to end a very eventful week which included taking our MAP tests to see where each child is at the beginning of 1st grade so that we have something to compare it to when they take the test again at the end of year...we decided to end our week and our day with making our own riddles. In writing this week we have talked about the first of the 6+1 traits of writing: Ideas. The kids came up with their "idea" of what their riddle would be about first, and then used adjectives to describe their idea. Everyone had fun guessing each others riddles. Here are a few blog worthy riddles. I may have to break it into two blogs. I took a picture of their "clues" to the riddles and then I took a picture of the inside which shows the answer. They were very excited to share these with you!
